Novotema and IDEX Foundation support the Association “Amici della Pediatria”

When solidarity calls, Novotema, its staff and IDEX Corporation promptly react!

Between Christmas 2021 and October 2022, Novotema took several opportunities to support the Association “Amici della Pediatria” that operates within Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo.

The Association is actually well known to Novotema as it received already in 2020 the generous donation of recreational and educational materials for children that were collected thanks to the spontaneous contribution of many colleagues.
From then on the actions to support the Association increased: let's see them all in detail.

First of all, Novotema decided to buy a part of the 2021 Christmas corporate gift for employees from the Association, thus guaranteeing to the Association an economic contribution. For instance, Novotema purchased the so-called "Eco Cubes" : small sets for ecological cultivation, containing seeds of different plants to grow. The variety of these Eco Cubes represents the great diversity within the company, but at the same time also the ability to live closely and
to collaborate: diverse but united, we win.

Novotema also gathered of a number of volunteers among its staff. These colleagues made their free time available and volunteered to transport and deliver gifts from the headquarters of the Association to the Hospital, relieving the volunteers of the association from this task. This operation involved a total of 20 Novotema staff members, coming from all the departments.

The use of the free time of a part of the colleagues also created the conditions for Novotema to request a substantial financial contribution from IDEX Foundation. The Association “Amici della Pediatria” in fact finally received the donation of 9,900 USD which will be used to guarantee the service of three professional pedagogists to support children hospitalized in the Pediatric Department at Bergamo Hospital The President of the Association “Amici della Pediatria” Mrs. Milena Lazzaroni received a symbolic check during the visit to Novotema in Villongo. During her visit she also had the opportunity to personally thank all the volunteers who
took part to the project (see photo).
