August: time for training courses in Novotema!
Courses on First Aid and Fire Fighting but also for BSLD and Overhead Crane have been held recently in the company. This year, however, we had a different approach, in fact some of the courses were entrusted to volunteers of the AKJA association.

This year, however, we had a different approach, in fact some of the courses were entrusted to volunteers of the AKJA association.
This non-profit organization based in Bergamo, active in first-aid operations on the ski slopes, has been operating for the past 30 years both in Val Brembana and at Passo del Tonale, in Santa Caterina di Valfurva and in the province of Sondrio. The association counts on around 70 volunteers and some of them are qualified to work as trainers in schools and companies.
We decided to rely on them for this year's courses in order to support the activities of this association but also for the strong operational and practical approach their instructors have, as they are used to working personally on resue missions.
Many colleagues have been involved in these essential training activities. All of them were very satisfied with their participation thanks to the useful practical demonstrations provided by the instructors and the opportunity to learn life-saving tricks also for everyday life.
A fun fact about the name of the association? Akja is the name of the tool used for first-aid on the ski slopes, generally also called "toboggan"!
